• Please find bellow our offer for 1-day tours. These tours are designed and organized only for SCES 2017.
• The booking will be handled on the first come – first served basis.
• Deadline for booking the tours is 30.6.2017.
• Please note that the minimum for 1 tour is 15 pax, maximum 25 pax.
• We reserve the right to cancel the tour in case that the minimum capacity is not reached. In this case we will refund you either by bank transfer or onsite.

1) Karlstejn Castle + Nizbor glassworks

Date:     Tuesday 17.7.2017

Time:    09:00 – 17:00

Meeting point: registration desk at the conference venue

Price:    68 Eur incl. entrance to Karlštejn castle, glassworks and 3-course lunch incl. 1 soft drink and coffee/tea

First you will visit the Karlštejn castle which is a high Gothic castle founded in 1348 and has a unique position among Czech castles. It was built by Czech King and Roman Emperor Charles IV as a place for safekeeping of the royal treasures, especially Charles's collection of holy relics and the coronation jewels of the Roman Empire. After visiting the castle the lunch will be prepared in the restaurant nearby. Than you will continue to the Glassworks Nižbor where you can see how the well-known Czech glass is made etc. Afterwards there will be some free time for shopping and than the bus takes you back to the conference venue.

2) Kutna Hora

Date:     Wednesday 19.7.2017

Time:    09:00 – 17:00

Meeting point: registration desk at the conference venue

Price:    53 Eur incl entrance to Cathedral of St.Barbora and Italian Court and 3-course lunch incl. 1 soft drink and coffee/tea

Kutná Hora is a town with a very rich history - it became one of Europe’s richest towns in the Middle Ages due to silver mining which originated in the 13th century. The souvenir from this era is the mature Gothic work -  Cathedral of St. Barbora which is also listed by UNESCO and you will visit it during this tour. After lunch in nice old-czech restaurant Dačický you will visit Italian Court, the  seat of czech King Wenceslas II. The excursion concludes with an example of the lock of silver minting Prague pennies. Each participant gets one penny as a souvenir. Than you will continue with 1 hour walking tour through the city centre and see such sightseeing as stone fountain, stone house, plaque column and many churches etc. After the walking tour bus takes you back to conference venue.

3) Konopiste Chateau

Date:     Thursday 20.7.2017

Time:    09:00 – 14:30

Meeting point: registration desk at the conference venue

Price:    51 Eur incl. entrance to Konopiště chateau and 3-course lunch incl. 1 soft drink and coffee/tea

An excursion to the magnificent castle situated about 40 km southeast of Prague. Its last private owner was Archduke Franz Ferdinand diEste, the successor the the Austrian throne who was assassinated at Sarajevo in 1914. The castle is situated in a lovely park and contains extensive collections of historici weaponry, hunting trophies, tapestries, china nad other arts. After visiting the castle and its park you will have lunch in the restaurant nearby. After lunch bus takes you back to conference venue.
